About

Welcome

The largest Indoor Food and Drink festival in the North West is set to take place at Event City at the Trafford Centre from 18th-20th October – The North West Food Lovers Festival (NWFL)
Organisers, who have run the event for the last 4 years at Tatton Park inside a football pitch sized marquee have moved the event from the Cheshire Countryside to Event city as they have simply outgrown the facility at Tatton Park

Event Organiser Stephen Wundke said, “ We had four great years at Tatton but as this event has grown the need for bigger premises to accommodate over 150 exhibitors and 20,000+ visitors has meant we needed a new home and we are delighted that Event City have been able to accommodate us. Their aspirations and ours align, with us both having the ambition to make this the undisputed number 1 event in the UK within the next 5 years. We are confident that we have the ability to grow within the Event City structure and of course their assistance."

It promises to be an outstanding event over the 3 days with headline chefs, Simon Rimmer from Sunday Brunch, Tim Maddams from the River Cottage as well as the best celebrity chef from Lancashire-Andrew Nutter, Merseyside's Paul Askew and Dave Mooney from Cheshire, adding to the an assembly of Northwest chefs never seen under one roof before.

The NWFL event also gives the budding junior chefs a great hand as well, with free cooking classes with the Academy of Culinary Arts North West Chef, James Holden providing classes for up to 600 children across the 3 days. These classes have been incredibly popular in the last 2 years with children loving the opportunity to cook and try new foods.

This year for the first time the event has teamed up with local wine merchant, Charlie the Wine, who are providing 3 wine master classes a day for those who want to taste, try and learn about the fabulous wines on offer. Charlie Womersley of whom the eponymously named company features, is excited about the weekend. “ We love being out and about talking about wine and the chance to create a wine area within the NWFL Festival was just too good to miss. I know that visitors will love this event and I know they will enjoy tasting and learning about our wines. (booking highly recommended – limited spaces available)
