I lived in Failsworth for 38 years before moving to Devon where I lived for 8 years. I moved back to Failsworth and was recommended this club. I paid my first visit on Saturday, 15 November 2009 with two friends who were visiting me from Devon. Walking into the club was moving into a time warp. The entertainment for this evening was Free and Easy so there was a compere and a keyboard player. One after the other people of all ages stood up to sing and entertain us. Obviously some singers were better than others but all were received with massive appreciation and applause. We were strangers but were offered sandwiches and people were very kind, friendly and interested enough to make conversation. Members of the audience kept disappearing from the room returning all dressed up in fancy dress, it was like a bunch of children raiding a dressing up box. There were no out of control drunks, no fights, no violence. There is a wonderful atmosphere. My friends had to return to Devon but will be taking about this club until they are able to return for another visit. There will be a christmas party on the 12 December. No ticket required with an entrance fee of 50p. Where else will you find a party for 50p. I now live alone but I will be making the Music Hall club my venue for a good night out. Why not give it a try, you will enjoy it. I would like to offer my thanks to Julie and Gary on behalf of Stuart and Keith and myself and look forward to seeing you again soon. Ann
