Abakhan Fabrics

A fabulous shop for anyone interested in making things with textiles. The ground floor is the place to find real bargains, where cloth is sold by the kilo and bags of threads and haberdashery beg to be snapped up by the keen craftsperson. In addition a small craft department offers specialist embroidery, papercraft and knitting supplies. Upstairs fabric is sold by the metre at fabulously reasonable prices and the haberdashery department supplies patterns, ribbons, buttons and all the sundries needed to complete that special outfit. Friendly, knowledgeable staff complete the experience. Well worth the walk up Oldham Road!

This a brilliant shop- material can be bought by weight, in pieces or on a roll, All prices from 50p to whatever you want to pay. Bundles of odds available- I just wish there were more shops like this on the outskirts of manchester as I can't get to it very often! Think they have a branch in Leek or Stoke <P>
