I moved in to the flat at 81 Egerton Road in May 2006. I did find the service at this point very speedy which enabled us to move in fast, which was great. The rent for the property did seem a bit expensive but it was in fallowfield and close to areas of interest. However after a few months they practically ignored our complaints regarding the water heater and the leaky roof in the kitchen. We must’ve contacted anglo homes on at least 6 occasions to arrange the problem to get resolved (they did not recall most of the calls we made to them). My housemate said she was insulted by one of the workmen who practically called her a liar after he said there was noting wrong with the heater. I think the daily cold showers at 8am can prove that we were not making this up! The leaky roof flooded the top of the hob, even if the rain was only light. I think this is something that we shouldn’t have expected when paying over £60 week rent. Anglo homes do not provide the service that they promise. The service which they provide could be improved on in numerous ways, and they seemed more interested in grabbing the deposit for the flat off us then leaving us in the flat to deal with the problems ourselves.
