    A great quirky, wonky pub in the centre of Manchester that almost looks out of place near the shiny Arndale Centre.Great food and fast service. Can get busy if there is a big concert on at the MEN arena.

    this is a fabulous old pub, i think 16th century, its in a square with another old pub (the oyster bar) and near the printworks (so handy for the m.e.n arean). There is a great outdoor seating area with patio heater overhead. this is one of the main places to hang out when the weather gets warmer and it is often packed. the food is also great though, its great pub food with something on the menu for everyone. if you aren't in manchester for long then its a must to visit one of these two old pubs and sit outside and watch all the hustle and bustle of manchester.

    One of my favourite places to have a refuel while shopping, especially good during the winter if you can get in front of the fire!!!
