• Worst meal ever!

  This is the worst Chinese restaurant in the whole of Chinatown in my opinion. the food is horrendous; salty, fatty and full of MSG. The staff are really rude and I honestly don't know how they've survived for so many years with so much excellent competition around.The restaurant is really rough, and I'm sure they're supposed to have door staff on when they're open late but rarely seem to be there - the last time we went there was a big fight spilling out on to the street. Needless to say we haven't been back since.I can't state enough that you should try somewhere (anywhere else) with better quality food, service and prices.It gets one star from me because they wouldn't let me choose zero!

• Great Chinese!

  I've been a regular at Kwok Man for about 15 years now, it's been my regular place for family birthday and special event meals.The restaurant itself is in the basement of the building, and is the block next to the famous Yang Sing. The decor is nice, staff are friendly and there are lots of tables so I've never had to wait for a table even on Saturday evenings before, despite it being very busy.Apparently the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, but I've only been at 4am on a weekend, so I'd call ahead to check - but if you're stumbling around Manchester for a taxi why not check it out and get a dish or two.The food is great, and compared to Yang Sing is good value - I can highly recommend getting there before 4pm and trying their Dim Sum, especially the Sui Mai and Har Gau.They will also do takeaway if you call and order, and they'll package it up nice and boxed up and bring it up to your car for you.If you want a upper-range reasonably-priced meal then try Kwok Man, you won't regret it.
