• faultless food and friendly service

  I dont know why we did not try this place before.....may be we took to much notice of the one negative reveiw out of a total of 84..., yes thats right. 84 reviews and only one negative... The friends who took us have been regulars for 4 years and have tried all Sale and Hale restaurants but return to Mimi more often than the rest. The food is excellent and has a deffinate freshness about it which is rare for restaurants of late,the service is very attentive and not to in your face.BIG BIG plus ......3 bottles of wine 4 people on 3 courses only..........£77.00.

• Awful Service a total disappointment (RUDE)

  This was thought to be the place of choice for a nice local family meal of 10, so 1 of the party pre booked weeks in advance with a deposit and all the meals were pre chosen because they said that would be easier, everyone chose their meal and when arrived they started handing out menus where we told them that we had pre ordered (as they had told us we had too) but they seemed to know nothing of this even though calls had been made earlier in the day. Then eventually after sorting everything out we got our starters the food was nice and everything seemed well. Then for the mains everyone got their mains 1 by 1 but then 1 person didn't who was having the same as 3 others so we called the manager after 5 mins to find out. He said it was on its way?? he carried on saying this for 45 mins until the person said it doesnt matter because everyone else had finished eating (disgusting) all he said was sorry but to be quite honest i think that is disgusting first he said it was coming for 45min then it never shows at all if he was honest at first something else could have been ordered. Then he brought out a glass of red wine and put it on the table (as if anyone wants to drink anymore on an empty stomach!!!) We all finished and asked for the bill where the deposit was nowhere to be seen to the point that they wanted us to get the receipt which luckily had been brought they did nothing about the absent meal disaster apart from having the cheek to say that they would not charge for the glass of wine lol all 10 of us were utterly disgusted and to top it off at this point the manager was no where to be seen and left a poor waitress girl to deal with it when she had no clue of what had happened!!! avoid at all costs disgusting service go to the Trafford centre in future great food an service always.

• Excellent food

  This restaurant provides a taste bud heaven within a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Service generally very good but couples can be a little neglected if big parties are in.

• Excellent restaurant close to Sale Met

  Small recently refurbished restaurant in the heart of Sale, just facing the old town hall and staggering distance from the Sale metro station.We have been here many times, and its always 100% reliable. They do a beautiful starter with a mixed mezze type vibe, including things like big portobello mushrooms stuffed with pate, king prawns in tempura batter etc.A varied menu, which you can't really pin down to one country. Prices are very realistic for the quality of the food. Not overstaffed, but the 1 or 2 waiting on staff keep the whole place tikcing over nicely.
