Ah, the ironically named Heaven Spa................ DO NOT VISIT THIS SALON. You can achieve pretty much the same results by running backwards through a bush, setting fire to a fist full of 20 pound notes, and repeatedly banging your head against a brick wall. They are cowboys of the highest order and a disgrace to the hairdressing profession. I purchased a 'deal' off the Livingsocial website for a Brasilian Blow Wave, for 75 pounds. I arrived at the salon for the treatment and was advised during the treatment that I wouldn't be able to wash my hair for 4 days and would then have to return to the salon for a 'complimentary' blow dry. As I was due to be working in London the following week, returning to the salon was impossible for me and I was a little irritated that I hadn't been given this information at the time of booking (I would have arranged to come in on a different day). However, I wasn't too worried at this point. The stylist later went on to explain that the treatment was a smoothing rather than straightening treatment. Again, I was slightly confused, as the Livingsocial website specifically described it as a 'straightening treatment' that would 'smooth out those kinks'. However, I rationalised that as long as my hair was smooth and frizz-free, I would be happy. She then recommended that I purchase the La Brasiliana shampoo and conditioner (15 pounds/bottle) and explained that as the shampoo is sulfate free, it would make the treatment last longer, as sulfates strip the hair. treatment itself was already quite a treat at 75 pounds, I decided that I would purchase a sulfate free shampoo elsewhere, as I wanted to check out prices and explained this to the stylist. I left the treatment on for 4 days and straightened it several times during this period, as advised. I also bought a Tigi sulfate free shampoo. However, when I washed my hair 4 days later I was dismayed to find that it was literally exactly the same as before the treatment; frizzy, wavy and unmanagable. I called the salon to explain and they were instantly very defensive, telling me that they have never had any complaints for the treatment and generally making me feel like it was all my fault. Eventually they made me read out the ingredients in my shampoo and said that they thought the treatment hadn't worked because the shampoo had sodium in, and said that it was my fault as I had not purchased the La Brasiliana shampoo. I explained that I had been advised to get a sulfate free shampoo, but there was no mention of it being sodium free, and even then, that it hadn't been explained that I needed this for the treatment to work (the stylist said using a sulfate free shampoo would make it 'last longer'). By this point I had been passed on to the manager, asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I was quite shocked by his attitude and said that I just wanted someone to look at my hair and see if it could be fixed, as 75 pounds is a lot of money to pay for something that simply hasn't worked. He then asked me to come in the next morning to have the blow dry from his senior stylist. By this point I was quite exasperated and confused, so agreed to coming in, hoping that we could resolve the matter when they could actually see my hair. The next morning I met with the stylist, who seemed more helpful and less confrontational. I explained that the La Brasiliana shampoo had simply been recommended and it had certainly not been made clear that it wouldn't work if I used another shampoo. I also pointed out that I had bought a sulfate free shampoo, as recommended, but there had been no mention of sodium. I also showed him the original offer, which described the treatment as 'straightening'. He confirmed that the treatment was not a straightening treatment and agreed that the deal had been advertised in a misleading way. He said he would have to speak to the manager to see what could be done and suggested that it might be possible to try again on my hair. I said that this would be fine and I would buy the La Brasiliana shampoo if that was the case. He said that he would call me back by 2pm. By 4.30pm I had not heard back so decided to call the salon. I spoke to the manager who said that he hadn't had time to speak to his stylist and would call me back by the end of the day. This did not happen. I called at 12pm the next day and was told by the receptionist that I would get a call back. By 3pm this had not happened, so I called again, and was once again told that no-one was available to speak to me. I was quite annoyed by this point and said that if I hadn't heard back by the end of the day I would come in and speak to them face to face the following day. The manager called me 15 minutes later. He advised that he hadn't called me back as he had some personal issues and my problem was 'not a priority' for him. I said that if this was the case then he should pass my issue on to a member of staff who could resolve the promlem. He then went on to say that he would have to speak to La Brasiliana directly about the Tigi shampoo I had used, as it was not the salon's fault (!!). I said that I was very unhappy about this as I had been misadvised at several points and felt that I had thrown 75 pounds down the drain. Again, the manager repeated that he had never had any complaints about the treatment (even after his senior stylist had seen the state of my hair) and that it was my own fault for not buying the La Brasiliana shampoo. He said he would call me back by the next morning. That was now 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back whatsoever. When having the treatment done there were several complaint calls being answered by the salon receptionist and the stylist explained that the business had previously gone into liquidation and had since been taken over, resulting in lots of unfulfilled orders. She said that they were trying to turn the place around as it had gained a bad reputation and lost lots of clients. As far as I can see, any bad reputation is fully deserved. I've never experienced such terrible customer service and wouldn't recommend this salon to my worst enemy. I feel like they stole 75 pounds from me, for a treatment that didn't work, and made no attempt whatsoever to rectify the situation. Cowboys.

I love this place. They really look after you. My skin has improved no end since I started having facials there. I've just started going there for my hair too. There is a great hairdresser called AJ. Lots of compliments since he cut it last time.

Awful place - I bought a gift voucher from their website as a birthday present for someone but the voucher never arrived. It was supposed to be sent special delivery (which it says it had been on the dispatch email) yet they say they sent it first class and only offer first class. They never call you back when they say they will and apparently the person who deals with online sales 'doesn't take phone calls'! If their customer service/ability to do what they advertise is as bad in person as it is over the phone and internet, I'd avoid them at all costs!
